“Delight” at Cameron victory

Responding to news of David Cameron’s election as the Conservative Party’s new UK leader, Highlands and Islands MSP Jamie McGrigor said:

“I am delighted at David Cameron’s election as UK Conservative leader and will be writing to congratulate him personally.

“With David Cameron at Westminster and Annabel Goldie at Holyrood, we have a formidable team holding Labour, and the Liberal Democrats in Scotland, to account.

“This is a real opportunity for the Scottish Conservatives. It’s now up to every member, wherever they are in the Highlands and Islands, to work together to promote our vision for a better Scotland and a stronger United Kingdom.

“As David Cameron sets upon his task of exposing Labour’s failures as the UK Government, I will continue to expose Labour and the Liberal Democrats’ failures as the Executive in Scotland”.
